A New Chapter: Why Your Story Matters
It’s been a while, but if you know me you know that my plate stays full. Corporate, coaching, and prepping to send my one and only off to college in the next year is keeping me busy. But recently, I’ve been learning the art of slowing down. Slower mornings. Slower nights. Finding peace in my routine instead of rushing through it. And in that stillness, God dropped something big in my spirit.
About a month ago, I was invited to speak at a church in my hometown of Reidsville, NC for their Entrepreneur Spotlight. As I prayed and prepared for that message, God gave me a fresh vision - one that I honestly wasn’t ready for. He showed me that we’re moving into a time when attempts at the erasure of history, especially our personal stories, will become more and more common. And because of that, He is tugging on so many hearts to write their stories. Not just to write for the sake of writing, but to save, to educate, to heal, to deliver, and to set people free. And most importantly, to ensure that our stories live long beyond ourselves for the generations to come.
You may very well be one of the hearts that he’s been tugging on.
Maybe you’ve felt that tug on your own heart. Maybe you’ve even prayed for confirmation. Have you been waiting for a sign? Well, here I am, randomly showing up on your feed, in your inbox, on your screen, to say: This is it.
I believe God is calling me to do more than just write my own books. He’s calling me to help you write yours.
That’s the new direction I’m stepping into - guiding first time authors through the process of unlocking their story, building their blueprint/outline, and finally bringing it to life on the page. Because whether you know it or not, your story matters. It has power. Someone out there is waiting on the words only you can write.
So, what does this mean for The Blush Blog? It means you’ll start seeing posts about writing, creativity, and storytelling alongside the same lifestyle pieces I’ve always shared about cheer, self-care, and motherhood. I want this space to inspire you to live fully, but also to create boldly.
If you’ve ever dreamed about writing a book; if you’ve ever felt like your experiences, your testimony, or your lessons could change someone’s life, then stay tuned. This is just the beginning, and I’ve got some exciting things coming that I know will help you take that leap.
I’m so excited for you to be a part of this journey with me and what stories you will unfold in the midst of it.
